Twins Borric and Erland were the most carefree men in the Kingdom of the Isles. But their blissful youth has come to an end as they prepare to succeed their father, Prince Arutha, to the throne. For their first undertaking, the Prince sends them as ambassadors to Kesh, the most powerful nation in the land. But before they even depart, an assassination attempt on Borric, the eldest by seconds, is thwarted.
